My name is Ouattara Boubacar, and I was born on the 24th of May of 1964 (24/05/1964) in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso's capital city; but I did my primary school in the Centre School, in Sya, Bobo-Dioulasso and my secondary school in both Bobo's "Lycée Municipal" and "Lycée Ouezzin Coulibaly", where I obtained my French baccalaureate. After this, I completed studies in agriculture and farming at the Rural Polytechnic School (IPR) of Katibougou (Mali). I have been married since the 19th of November of 2000, and I am a father of 4 children, among which 2 boys and 2 girls, all schooled. I work in chicken farming (with an incubator).
I have been doing business in chicken farming since 2006 that is to say for 8 years now. I have at the moment 45 chickens in Bama, a city close to Bobo-Dioulasso, and 12 chickens at home in Bobo. When the total number of chickens decreases after sales, I go buy some more in neighbouring cities such as Bama, Dande, Solenzo and Samandeni. The minimum buying price of a chicken is of 1400 Francs and the maximum selling price is of 3000 Francs. As soon as the chickens have reached their selling size, I deliver them to rotisseries, restaurants and on feast days. I pay their food to the farm's services and I make some myself. I give the chickens bran, corn, lettuce waste, tomatoes, fish powder, etc. I can make a profit of 50,000F each month with the sale of chickens and eggs.
I am grateful to Zidisha's staff for having accepted my request. This first loan will allow me to buy more chickens in neighbouring villages so that I can raise them and then sell them to make profit and by that provide for my family's needs. I am asking you to help me, dear lenders, for the funding of this loan request.
Increase my number of chickens
