I went to school in taveta primary and later completed my secondary at kiserian junior seminary, i later join shanzu ttc where i acquired a diploma in IT in 2011. i have been out trying to find an employment opportunity but in vain. i worked i a cyber for year buther the overhead cost were more than the salary so i decided to go back to taveta where i started a micro craft brew house. i am current processing wine from banana with capital assistance from my members. There are a lot of banana in taveta with most going to waste due to lack of preservation mechanism. This gave me opportunity to add value to the banana produce hence helping the farmers get more income. My hobby is production of music to local youths and artist as i have the knowledge. i usually join them during practice and some time record the using our family computer.
The banana wine production is a lucrative business as the current commercial beer is out of rich for most peasant farmer and small business people. My prices are favorable to most of the population due their income status. Being a craft brew most of the job is manually and i have managed to create job to other youth and woman who come for daily casual jobs like cooking banana, washing bottles, packaging etc. On the other hand the business has offered a market to bananas from local farmers.
I will use the profit to grow the business to become a bigger and competitive business like other large brew house. I will be able to automate most of the process hence increase the production capacity and high more jobless people in my community.
Thank you zidisha community for giving me another chance to access my second loan from you, as the amount is abit low I will dedicate all the kes 578 in buying raw bananas for wine preparation, this amount will increase my stock by one and half bunch as prices have shoot up due past cold season of last December which made banana produce low. The amount will improve my profit by 20% and I will re-invest all off it back to the bussiness. My customer will always get a discounted price and therefore make my bottled wine more favourable to other traditional wines produced locally.
