My name is YoLam Chungu living in Zambia Lusaka. After completing my primary and secondary education. though i two options,I really waned to study medical sciences but due to financial challenges my parents had. I could not manage the medical sciences though i made attempts and accepted into college. i instead decided to study computing and information systems from Evelyn Hone College Just to help me push myself to a bit of some fundraising. while studying, i was doing a bit of selling also. Time moved so fast with me that I decided to start a family. This also pushed me into even more struggle. i have done several business until now am set for farming. I have 3 children. My first being a boy 15 years old who is passionate about science, second boy also gged 9 and wants to an engineer. and the third is a girl wants to be a lawyer more specifically a speaker of the nation Assembly.
my hobbies are farming, and also music. not just music but Christian music.
I raise a bit of chickens and quails for sale of which I need the minimum of K 5,000. This being my passion it is working on well and the demands is growing almost every day as its becoming the cheap source of proteins for most people
with this fund, i will use it to buy more quail chicks for sale and production and use the profits to buy the incubator. I will continue the trend until i reach the target to buy the layers chickens stock for eggs producton. part of the profits will be used to support my family, and especially school requirements. If I could have nore funding I can get into egg production immediately with 300birds. Which can give me 12to13 trays of eggs per day for a total income of k900 to about k950 per day this can be a good start to help raise 1000 chics up to the point of lay. By this I can teget faster.
With these funds I increase on the number of birds to sale on weekly basis as am focusing on the bigger picture which is the develop my farm land. This really is helping my family to slowly getting better financially even as we serve the community with the best and cheap source of proteins.
