I Esther, was born in 1997 in kamiti prison where my dad was working as a police officer and later we went to ancestral land in Meru when dad got a transfer to uruku prisons. I went to school at yururu primary from 2002 to 2008 where I went to a boarding school in St. Aloysius day and boarding school up to class 8. I joined mikinduri girls in 2014 and in 2017 had completed form four. In 2018 sep I joined the Meru national polytechnic to study fashion design and graduated in the year 2022 March having distinction. Have been employed in college at a trainer and also in a dress making company. I started my own shop afterwards in timau Town where I specified in dress making and branding. My machines I acquired when I was working in the company as a dress maker through savings and also I got support. From my hubby.i love my work especially now that I'm self employed.

I got a small tender in the neighborhood to go and put admissions in their clothes and I have to start doing screens now since by next week new students will have started joining schools. I need also to make aprons and shirts to sell in the open air markets that is around my area of work.

First I want to buy more screen prints and the PVC especially now that students are going back to school with new items so that I can put on admissions in their clothes. Also I will make shirts, dresses and trousers for young children that are joining playgroups and new schools. This money will really help me
