I am a 27 years old lady residing in Gilgil town, Nakuru county, Kenya. I am a Christian married for 3 years and counting.
after finishing my secondary school education, I trained and work as a hair stylist for two years. in the late 2011 i was employed for 4 months as a secretary/receptionist at Wazee Pamoja Self help group office.
in 2012 started working together with my husband in his business till mid 2013 where we decided that i should start my own business to increase our income. I contracted a shade next to my husband business and started sell plastic merchandise.
I am honest, hardworking and Open minded. I love traveling, watching movies and listening to music.
I sell plastic merchandise e.g. utensils, water containers, buckets, basins, dustbins, backpacks, caps, mavins, wallets, belts and so many other.
I have also sell hair products like hair extension and braids.
In a month i make on average a profit of 6,000 to 10,000 Kenya shillings. I use the money for our upkeep and sometime help my husband to settle some of our bills.
I am the only one selling such product in the area and my competitor is Gilmart supermarket which is a bit far away.
Occasionally I am able to save a little cash for rainy day.
The business has no bills to settle except restocking.
I plan for the business to grow where i will get a premise and stock it with more variety and divers products.
I will use the funds from these loan to build a semi permanent shade to protect the products i sell from direct sunlight. the shade will be made of PVC tent which will cost around Ksh.15,000. it will be supported by a steel structure which will cost around Ksh.20,000 i am budgeting for around Ksh.5,000 to be the installation cost and the rest of the cash i will add more product to my stock. Dear lend fund my loan because this project will uplift my shop image and apility to generate income.
