Paul was born to a family of four in Biadan near Berekum. I fellowship with Methodist Church of Ghana Biadan branch. I was baptized in the year 1990. I started my basic education at Biadan Methodist primary school in the year 1988. I passes through Junior high school and later enrolled into Biadan Methodist Senior High school. After my SHS education, I proceeded to Berekum college of education and became a professional teacher in the year 2013 after studying for 3 years. I am an ophan and that made my raising up a challenge for me until I got a scholarship from Methodist educational fund.
My headache as a teacher at my school has been a worried for me. I teaches ICT (Introduction into Computer Technology) at Kyereyawkrom Junior High school near Senase.
Prior to my teaching, my students finds it very difficult to understand my subject since there is no computer lab at my school to help ease my teaching. None of my students have ever seen computer before. Because of lack of computer to teach my students, they failed badly in my subject the first year I was posted to the school. None of the 37 who sat for the final JHS exam passed with excellent. I worked hard last year and the second butch of my students who has for this years final exams were able to get average credit.
I have therefore took it upon myself to buy at least 5 lap top computers to start a computer classes with them. I have written several letter to the Ghana education service to provide us with some computers but all effort has yield no result. I can't afford to see my student fail their exam in this computer era. They deserve to have insight into computer studies. I have already being using my own Dell Laptop computer in teaching them and I can see great improvement in their level of understanding the subject.
I am applying for the loan to buy laptop computers for teaching my students at Kyereyawkrom near Senase. It is a farming community that lack electricity and due to that reason, the Ghana education service has not setup any computer laboratory meanwhile, it is compulsory to all Ghana school to write final exams on ICT. This has compelled me to start teaching them with my laptop because there is no electricity in the village. Due tothe lack of enough laptops, it makes it difficult to get all of them on board to know exactly what I teach because I have only one computer. I am therefore willing to buy at least 5 laptop computers and divide it for the students in groups during teaching. I have 41 students and we all depend on one computer. I would be grateful if any organisation would be of help in supplying us with laptops or fund my loan to buy the laptop to ease my teaching. I will charge them few pessewa as classes fee to help pay back the loan am taking. thank you
