I am the first born in a family of three. My growing up was not that friendly because both my parents were doing odd jobs, hence they could not fully support three of us. I joined Immaculate Primary School in Nairobi, where I finished my primary school, and later joined Matungulu High School and did my O-levels.

After high school, I really struggled before joining college because of school fees. However, I enrolled for a diploma course at Railways Training Institute, where I did a diploma in Business Management.

My life from birth had not been so smooth and therefore after college I really thought that I would get a good job so I could support my siblings, but that was not the case. I went in search of jobs every day for three years without success. It was then that I stopped looking for formal employment and decided to do what I could to employ myself.

I had saved some 300 KSH and that is what I used to start my own business. I went to Nairobi CBD and bought some earrings and bangles and went and sold them to my friends. From the profit I got, I went and bought some more and sold. This happened for like a year, and I had then saved up some amount, so I did market research on where I would set up a shop. It was then that I settled on Ruai shopping center. Why I settled for it is because there is a larger market there and it's close to where I stay, hence I do not use any transport to go to work.

Currently I have no children, but what I know is that I want my children to have the life I never had as a child. That is why am doing the much I can do to make a life for them.

My hobby is watching movies and why I like it is because from there I get to get new ideas of the new fashion trends, and it broadens my thinking in terms of what I do.

I will be delighted to work with Zidisha so that my dreams would become reality.

I have a beauty shop in Ruai shopping center, where I sell some beauty products and some jewelery. I settled for this kind of business because it became so clear to me how women want to stand out and look beautiful and presentable each day.

After doing my research, I found out that selling women products would be good for me as a beginner in business because the products are cheap and fast-moving. Again, the customer base in that area is quite big.

Every two weeks I go purchase the beauty products from Nairobi CBD at a wholesale price. I do not look for a big profit margin for now; because of the location of the business, I would lose my customers if i did that now. Now I am working towards saving enough money to get capital to put up a shop in the Nairobi CBD, where I would be assured of getting bigger business and bigger profit margins.

Since I do not have children of my own, I save 30% of my profit and the rest 70% I use to educate my siblings, pay rent, give tithe and personal effects.

I am looking forward to getting an investor who will believe in me and help me achieve my goals and live my dream. I would also want to grow and help my family and peers grow by making this platform known to many, so that all of us may grow together and make the world a better place to be. Thank you for believing in me.

Despite facing a serious medical challenge that temporarily disrupted my work, I have been able to recover, reorganize, and resume business activities. I am now fully focused on rebuilding and growing my current interior design products business.

With this loan, I will be able to buy more stock, improve day-to-day operations, and increase the overall profitability of the business. This growth will enable me to better support my family’s needs and become a more productive and useful member of society by creating value for customers, supporting local suppliers, and contributing positively to the community.
