My name is Joseph Dalyop. I grew up in a humble family of 5 and I’m the first child. From a young age, I helped my parents with small trading activities which sparked my interest in business. I completed my secondary school education and now I run a provision store in Kano, where I serve my community with daily essential products.
Starting my own business isn’t easy but through support from friends and family, I was able to get a head start.
My dream is to stock up and expand my store to offer variety to my customers. Kano is a lively city and is considered to be the Centre of Commerce, because lots of trades happen here. I am proud to be from this tradition.
I enjoy meeting people and reading in my spare time.
I run a small provision shop in Kano where I sell everyday items like foodstuff, toiletries, beverages and snacks. These are items that people use daily so they are always in demand. Most of my customers are families and individuals who come to my shop daily to buy what they need.
I chose this kind of business because I grew up helping my parents in trading and I’ve always liked the idea of serving people. Provision shops are needed in every area, so I saw the need for one in mine.
With the money raised from Zidisha, I plan to stock up my shop and add more items to meet my customers needs. I plan to buy stocks in bulk directly from wholesalers so I can Maximo my profits. I will use the profits to support myself and my family. My parents are old and they can’t really do much at this point.
I believe doing this will help my business grow.
Thank you
The money will help me buy more stock for my shop and help me earn more and support myself and my parents. I believe in hardwork and I know God will help me achieve my dreams. I will be provisions like cartons of noodles, milk, detergent and what my customers will be needing daily
