My name is James Songol Apura. I was born fro the village of Tungulbei in the Rift valley province. I attended kokwototo primary schools and later joined chemolingot secondary school where i attained an average score to join a public university.

I was posted to Maasai Mara University in Narok county to pursue a bachelors degree in Hospitality and hotel management and graduated from the university in the year 2009 when i ventured into catering business unsuccessfully till the year 2012 when i established my own small scale restaurant in Elda- ma Ravin in the Uasin Gishu district with the help of my uncle who was more knowledgeable in the catering business.

I love the cool uasin gishu environment and the touristic hilly encampments making the area rich economic wise.

My son who is 10 years old by now in class 5 of primary study is very ambitious and dreams of owning a five star hotel in future.

I am a fun when it comes to travelling and spending time with friends and sharing of ideas. I too love playing golf which constitutes of my rest time.

I run a small scale restaurant located in Elda-ma ravin centre in the uasin gishu district in kenya.

I offer fast food and refreshments to my customers whose number keeps growing since the establishment of the job.

I produce own natural juices from blending natural fruits from the farm. This makes the restaurant a choice to every sober addict of natural fruits from around.

I chose catering business because I have some good knowledge of foods, refreshments and customer satisfaction from my class work in my university years.

I manage to generate a profit of not less than $450 on monthly basis. I use my profit to pay off my two kitchen staffs with whom i work with in full time.

I pay a tax of $30 to the uasin gishu county government as a license fee for the permit of conduction of my catering job and provision of all time security.

I also pay a house mortgage of $80 every month and a National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) fee of $5.3 every month of business. I also pay school fees for my son who is now in class 5 of his primary study. I use the rest of my profit to raise my family and win them a good healthy life.

I am planing to use the loan on purchasing new sets of kitchen equipment for my small scale restaurant.
