Greetings to you,my name is Lilian kosgei.I am from Nakuru county where I was born in village called Molo in the year 1976.I grew up in my village till I completed my education and caught married.I am caring, inspirational and dedicated saloonist track records of plaiting and encouraging young people to achieve their true potential.Besides having worked with many different types of people,I have also been involved with numerous projects, groups work and presentations from which I have gained valuable, transferable skills such as communication, time management and prioritising workload.

1994-1996: Eldoret Polytechnic College

CHALLENGES AND HARDSHIP.

I am a mother of five children who are on difference school.My children depends on me because currently I am a single parent,I lost my husband who was assisting me on the other hand .My husband was a good farmer on which I was relying on him to provide me with everything, so after he passed away, it was a hard time for me because I had no anything to give to my children.I used to go for people's houses washing their clothes to gather money for food and school fees for my children on which sometimes it was though for me because somedays i was not getting job.Also some people were coming home to braid their hairs though others were leaving without paying.One day I decided to call for fundraising to collect money to open my business.

STARTING OF BUSINESS.

I organised a fundraising with the help from my church and and my community to help me acquired capital to open my shop.I did a fundraising and I was able to collect some amount of capital which assisted me open my business.I collected 50000kes which I used them to pay rend,do renovations and buy materials for my business saloon.

CULTURE

I am coming Kalenjin community.My clan where got married is Kamusek and the clan where I was born is Kibomwek.I live in the community of mixed tribes.

FAMILY.

I came from the family of farmers.My father and a mother were farmers. I am married and blessed with five children,three girls and two boys.My firstborn has completed college and want to be a doctor, second born and third born are in universities,both are studying for bachelors in education and fourth born and lastborn are in secondary schools.Fourth born wants to be a nurse and my lastborn wants to be a pilot.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS.

I enjoy reading non-fiction books, solving puzzles, socialising with friends and families and going to church on Sundays.

GOODS AND SERVICE.

I my business I do offer services like braiding.I do braiding of hair of difference styles.I also have different types of human hair or weeves to which I sells to my customers.

MARKETS

This my business have high market because people in my community are coming for my shop to have their hair braids.So I am earning more profits regularly.

COST.

To open my business shop I didn't use more capital because it was a start up and I had to pay rent and do renovations,so I shared the money I collected to fit my business.Now, am still need some capital to grow my business.

BENEFITS.

I am using my benefits I get from my business to feed my family, grow my business, assist the needy children, improve my living standards and pay school fees for my children.

I will use the funds to expand my shop because it has grown since I got funds from you backers,I want to expand my shop and hired one worker to assist me in giving services.I will also buy saloon equipment and buy more wigs to add my stock.Thank you so much for giving me the loan to grow my business which has changed me positively.Regards.
