My name is Benard Chepkwony. I was born in the Year 1976 at Chebilat villageas the first born son in a family of six. I grew up in Rift valley Kenya,I did my primary and high school education in Kericho County, and later joined Moi University in Eldoret for a BSc in Human Resource Management.
Since I was the bread winner in my family, after I competed my education I came out trying to make ends meet, and also to support my siblings despite the difficult challenges i cameacross, life took a turn that became so hard, and afterawhile I was able run my business smoothly. I indulged in small scale selling of vegetables farming and would sell them to the kiosk mama mbogas. One day after I checked my account I found that I had saved more more money which was enough for me to start a business.
This year for the cereals shop i paid 75 USD to our local county authority for business licence and a monthly rent of 65 USD. I also pay 85 USD per month towards the wages of my employees.
I do re-invest my profits in my business, support to my parents and my siblings.
I am also into mentoring and training youths for better life, skills and entrepreneurship also support in different activities. I am a Christian, discipline and people oriented person. Regards.
After I raised my capital from the small business I was doing as supplying of vegetables, I started a better business of selling cereals. I do sell cereals in Sotik town where I rented my house there after moving from village. So for now I still need some capital to boost my business and to open my shop so that I can add more goods.
