My is name Loveness Choongo a mother of 5 children. I grew up in Northern Province of Zambia in Mpika District. I went to school at St. Johns Primary School in Mpika, I only went up to grade 6. I never completed school due to financial challenges . My father and mother were just subsistence farmers who could grew crops for home consumption and just a few for sale to get us something to pay school fees. Hence it was difficulty for me to complete school.

When I was at the of age 16, I joined a social welfare, where I was registered for a vocational training in fashion and designing of clothing. The aim was to acquire skills in tailoring and designing of different clothing, such as uniforms, sewing of dresses, trousers , skirts and shirts. Through this social welfare I managed to overcame hardship in my life because after training I was offered a job by City Clothing Company where I was employed to sew school uniforms and school jersey and started earning good income.

Having worked for 5 years with City clothing company, I decided to stop and opened my own tailoring shop in town and employed assistant tailors to be helping me.

I was brought up in a culture where they allowed early marriages for girl children especially when they reach puberty. As such girls are prone to early marriage and drop out of school . It is intention now to stop this vice in our community to stop early marriages and encourage the girl child to complete school.

Following the hardship and circumstances of life, I went through, It is my desire to have my children to get better education and to be well educated and become better people in society.

I have the passion in tailoring and designing, most of the time I spend time to learn how to design and sew suits for men, ladies, girls and boys. Today there is good fabric on the market for making suits hence I spend time to do designing and produce good materials for sale to the general public and our community.

I have a tailoring and designing shop in the central business of town in Lusaka where I sew and design different types of clothing materials among these clothing are; school uniforms for children at preschool, primary and secondary. Men's trousers, suits, shirts, nurses uniform, lab coats and the aprons. Due to the quality of my work, I have a lot of demand in most secondary schools and universities hence the demand is very high for me. As such I need to additional sewing machine to help me meet the demands of my customers and deliver the orders in good time and this will allow me attract more customers at my shop and generate more income for the business to grow and expand. I also want to be making reusable sanitary pads targeted for school children which have become on high demand especially in rural area of Zambia as this will be additional income to support my children finish school, home improvements, reinvest more the tailoring and designing project and employ more unemployed youths Garavanting the streets without jobs.

Due to high demand of school uniforms , school jersey, nurses aprons, nurses uniforms and doctors lab coat, I need additional sewing machine for the production of these clothing materials for me to have more production and meet the demand of my customers in good time. As a result I will generate good income to grow and expand the business pay my workers on time, support my family financially and home improvement.
