I have grown up in the rural areas of western province of kenya. My parents have worked hard to ensure me and my brother complete secondary education and the main source of income was from my father was employed as a night guard while my mother worked as a house helper and most of the time we only managed to have one meal per day but this situation did not deter me from working hard. I and my brother worked hard in school and at home to ensure we excel in our various exams. After completing the secondadry education, I moved to Nairobi where I secured a job as a night guard and paid little but I saved most of my salary and paid school fees for myself to pursue a diploma course in catering as this has been my passion for long time. After completing the course I secured employment at good hotel in Nairobi where I am earning good salary but my dream is to own a five star hotel. I have established a medium size hotel from my savings which which involves cooking basic food and serving to the clients. Part of the profit from the business I save so that I can expand my business and have modern equipments and also cook varieties of food. My business is based in Kawangware 46 and I have employed 2 people who run the hotel on daily basis and recently after getting married my wife has joined the team as she has good experience of business management and over the weekend I assist them because I don't go to work. During my free time I like watching soccer and going out with friends to dance.
My hotel is based in Kawangware and I have employed 2 people and now my wife has joined the team and she has adequate skills & experience on business management who are responsible for day to day running of the business while over the weekend I usually assist them. My hotel involves preparing local food and over time customers have liked the hotel because of good quality food, good customer service and cleanliness. I intend to purchase modern equipments so that the quality of food can improve and also to reduce the cost of production and also produce in large quantity. The average sales per month is Kshs 54000, average expenses is Kshs 47000 and average monthly profit is Kshs 7000.
Am grateful to Zidisha lenders for entrusting me with the first and second loan because it has provided extra capital into my hotel thus contributing towards high quality food and reduced cost of production. My profit and the number of customers visiting my hotel on daily basis has increased. The high increase in the number of customers has out matched the existing space and customers have to wait on the line before being served and this is affecting my business because some can't wait and they go and not to come again thus to avoid incontinence on customers, I want to buy 15 chairs at total cost of $ 168 , 4 tables at total cost of $ 100 and new TV set at cost of 254. I have some savings and plan to use $ 60 towards the contribution of the budget of buying above facilities. The purchase of the furniture and new TV set will enable my business to maximize the existing space and serve more customers at once thus increasing my profit and also the TV will attract more clients to visit our hotel as they have been requested for a TV in the hotel. Entrusting me with another loan will make my business to increase the profit and also enable me escape poverty and also support other local people by offering job opportunity. Please support my loan.
