Am Boniface Mugo Muthike aged 26 years.i was born in Kiambu county Gatundu south.i enrolled in mataara primary school from year 2004 upto year 2012.later I joined Mataara secondary from year 2013 and transferred to Koinange secondary school and finished highschool on 2017.After passing my secondary exams,I joined University of Embu to pursue a course in Agriculture Extension and education.i graduated in the year 2024 with a second class upper honour.
Growing up in a poor family I had to work part time job as a gardener to pay my fees.it is from here that I developed an interest in farming.
In the year 2023 I attended an agricultural show at Nairobi where I met with an entrepreneur who inspired me to start my own business.
My land is fertile since I come from the Highlands.Where I come from my people have positive attitude towards work.
My hobby is watching films related to agriculture.
Currently am a farmer producing cabbages at large scale.The goods are useful to the community since they are consumed at a daily basis.The demand of cabbages is high.
I chose this project since it's cost effective and yields maximum profit.Cabbages are also marketable.
The cost of production ranges between SHS 50,000 to shs 60000 which includes:
Cost of land cultivation
Seedlings
Labour
Herbicides
In turn,the income per one acre is 120,000 yielding a profit of about SH 60000.I use a part of my profit to expand my business and improve my standards of living.
I will purchase the following items;
Seedlings
Fertilizer
Herbicides
Upgrade my farm tools
Fencing my land
I will also lease and rent more land so as to increase my yields.i will buy a knapsack sprayer
