I am Gnagna Sow, I am a merchant and born in 1979 at Saint Louis in the north of Senegal. I am an ethnic Peulh and live in Dakar since 1996. I am single and live with my parents. I have 5 brothers and 3 sisters. I will use the Zidisha loan that I am applying for to increase my commercial activities by buying more merchandise, I buy and sell clothing tissue. I make business trips to Mali and Mauritania to buy merchandise in bulk and sell them (in Senegal). Most of my cost are in acquiring the merchandise (ie Gnagna implies there is little overhead)

I sell clothing tissue and natural cosmetic products imported from countries like Mali and Mauritania. For every business trip I need 500,000 FCFA to buy sufficient amounts of merchandise. When sold, this merchandise goes for 900,000 FCFA so the profit is 400,000 FCFA for a two month period of work. This is sufficient to take care of the Zidisha payments

The loan will be used to buy new merchandise to increase my stock: I will use it to buy clothing tissue which I will sell with profit so that I can pay back the loan. I will then make a new loan, I hope to establish a commercial relationship with Zidisha that is mutually beneficial.
