My name is Lydia Wanja. I am a business lady. I am vibrant, hardworking, diligent, trustworthy and very ambitious. I believe in the saying; The sky is the limit.

The schools in the area are good business partners. I visit them often to collect orders and supply. The main meal for most schools is Githeri (maize and beans). Consumption for these two products is very high.

I believe that with the help of lenders from Zidisha I will achieve my dreams. Right now, the demand is high for cereals.

I deal with cereals; buying from farmers and selling to institutions. Very good profits are realized when supplies are in high quantities. Therefore the need to seek funding to expand my business.

The last crop season was not very good. The rains failed and very little harvest was realized. The little that is available is a little bit expensive. That is the more reason why I need more money to buy before the prices go up higher than they are.

Waiting for long will not be helpful since the supply might go down. The demand will be high. This is the best time to buy stock in large quantities and keep. I will release them to the institutions slowly by slowly. Other times I will visit the market on specified days to sell what is in demand.

I will buy more maize and beans and store them for resale in the month of December. The harvest was good. Farmers are now selling the recently harvested maize cheaply. A tin of maize is being sold at Ksh70/= It is projected that by December those who are selling now will be buying the same quantity at Ksh100/=

Going by this, I will make huge profits if I manage to buy twenty bags of maize and approximately five bags of beans.
