My name is Ian Ndemo Asuma from Nairobi, Kenya. I have had an average upbringing and I thank God my parents were able to give us a normal middle class life, though I thrive to give my children a much better one. The hardest thing that happened in my life was losing my father who was the primary breadwinner. It was quite hard but my siblings and I stepped up and got a loan together with my mother and we started a family business which is how we managed to survive by attending school and still taking shifts at the family business. By God's grace we all completed our education and I focused on business personally because I'm very good at it and have a passion for self employment. I now have my own fast food restaurant that is thriving near the bus station in my town. I am yet to be a father, but an expectant one as of now! My wife is expecting our first child and we are very excited and working extra hard in preparation for the future. My favorite pastime is fishing because it's fun and we get dinner as well so it's a win win. I also enjoy sight seeing.

My business is an eatery/restaurant that I named City inn. I chose this kind of business because I am a talented cook and it's a good business decision to sell food next to a busy bus station because workflow is guaranteed. What I make sure is that my cuisine is unique and tasty, I maintain cleanliness and my portions are favorable albeit reasonable. I sell fast food as well as African and international cuisine. My costs every week are usually on perishable goods like tomatoes and other groceries but typically every month I restock the dry stuff. Every week I earn about 100000kes and my costs are typically about 15-20000kes on daily purchases of condiments and groceries. I use the profits to provide our basic needs for me and my wife, reinvesting in the business and saving for the future.

Thank you for this platform. I will buy more seats and tables to expand my sitting area. It is a blessing that my demand has exceeded my supply and I believe this venture will increase comfortability of my customers and therefore increase sales.
