My name is Cleopatra Mailo a Zambian young entrepreneur. I completed school successfully with good results. I went to Kitwe school of education and did food production. I live in Mulanga compound. Growing in a shanty compound life is not easy , you have to work hard. I lived with may parents until I became independent. When I completed my Diploma in food production , I found a job in a restaurant where I worked as chef. My aim was to raise money to start up my own small restaurant. I worked for 3 years and in these years I was saving some money. When I stopped work , I went to start my own small restaurant. Having the good knowledge of preparing food , I have had the passion to start up my restaurant with the aim to grow the business. I wish to have children in future when the right time comes. And these children I want them to have good education. In my free at time , when not working I go to visit my parents at the farm and help them with the farm errands.
I have a small restaurant in our community which ran and the response is very overwhelming . Customers come in large numbers and demand is very high. I prepare good food and the standard at the restaurant is very high. The restaurant business is highly profitable and I make good profits. Now the restaurant is very small it do not have enough equipment such as the saving pan, I only have 3 serving pans and I don't prepare enough food staff to need demand because there is traffic, chair and tables are also not enough and there is need to buy more chairs and tables. For to buy these equipment I need a total sum of ZMW 25,000.00 to secure the equipment and these will allow me to prepare more food , meet demand and make a lot profits. As it will also help me to create job opportunity for fellow youths looking for jobs to work in a restaurant today in our community.
The funds requested will be used to buy the restaurant equipment such as the tables, chair and the restaurant equipment. As such this will create customer attraction and generate more funds to support my family and invest more in the business.
