I was born in 1965 in Dakar. I am married and I have three children. I live in Thiaroye-Sur-Mer in my parents' house. My parents are from Kaolack. I have brothers and sisters and I am part of a large family of aunts, cousins, half-brothers and half-sisters. I did my primary and secondary education here in Kaolack, I got my high school diploma in 2009, after that I started in the business of dyeing and selling fabrics for more than three years. I spent all my childhood, between Kaolack and Dakar where I grew up. I live with my parents and my family since birth, and we live in perfect harmony. As part of my community activities, I am part of a group of women who work for the development of women. This organization is a way for me to practice solidarity and mutual aid as we are working to improve the lives of women and to have good relations among our neighbors. Apart from that, the most important group loan (tontine) in which I participated was at Parcelles Assainies Unit 9 led by Sylla Seynabou. I envisioned a project to expand my business and for that I would like a loan from you.
I started my business of dyeing and selling fabric more than three years ago. I have a shop near my house and I buy fabrics in southern countries such as Mauritania, Mali, and Dubai. I spend 600,000 CFA francs each month and I make a profit of nearly 300,000 a month. With this loan, I intend to take on the project of increasing my sales by purchasing quality goods in the countries mentioned above, and to repay the loan properly. Since I started this project, it helped my trade because I started with the help of my brothers and sisters and I made a lot of profit, which is why I want to embark on this project to expand my business. Once I have the money, I also want to open a tailor shop in order to make ready-to-wear clothing for men and women, but also for children of all ages. My company practices fabric dyeing. I buy white Bazin fabric or other white fabrics wholesale, that are then colored with a natural or synthetic dye. Dyeing adds value to clothes, making them more beautiful and luxurious. Dyed clothes including damask are popular for celebrations including religious festivals, wedding ceremonies, and sponsorships, etc. In addition, I need starch for the dye, and collaboration with tailors for the sewing.
My business consists in buying on markets white Bazin fabrics or other white fabrics that are then colored by impregnation with a natural or synthetic dye. Dyeing adds value to clothes making them more beautiful and luxurious. Dyed clothes including Damask, are popular and very popular for religious festivals, wedding ceremonies sponsorship, etc…In addition Bazin requires dyes, starch and working with tailors and tappers
