My name is Kevin Kaniaru. I was born and raised in Nakuru, I went to a primary school called Busara Forest View Academy school where i passed after the standard 8 and i was then admitted at Nyeri Baptist secondary school and i completed my secondary education. I was not able to join the university because i did not have money for my admission and my school fees. I was born in a family of four that is mother, father and two children. I have only one brother. My mother is sick and since her medical bills are high, my dad struggled in paying for our school fees.i did some IT jobs so that i could help out at home. before my mum got sick, she had a IT college that she taught people IT skills. i worked there till she has to sell the college for her medical expenses.
my business now is purely services oriented. i do computer maintenance, installations like windows setup, server installations.
i also do tenders for our government. usually try to supply equipment when i can.
i love IT since i get to learn different technologies each day. my dream is to one day have my own IT company that will create job employment.
My typical costs are cost of buying maintenance equipment and accessories, antiviruses and office software applications.
My profit goes towards meeting these cost and my personal expenses while helping my parents back home.
thank you for giving me an opportunity to apply for a loan.
the main purpose for this loan is to help me open an office in town, i have been working from home.
rent a premise cost $150 that will cover for the deposit of the office which is $50 plus two months rent which will cost $100.
licences for the office cost $80. when opening business one is required to apply for municipal licenses. the licence goes for one year before it expires.
electricity cost $30. i have to apply for electricity from the Kenya Power. the amount will cover for deposit to Kenya power. then every month i will get a bill for the electricity consumed.
by me having a business premises in town , I will be more accessible to my customers, also it will make me have more jobs since people tend to have faith with you since you have an office.
also i will get to stock the office with laptops, memory sticks, printers so that i can be able to have walk in customers.
when i finish servicing this loan, i will apply for another one so that i can stock the shop fully with stocks. that will help in increasing profit margins for the company. also i can be able to do government tenders at ease.
