I am Nicholus Wainaina Mareka, born and bred in Murang'a County, Central Kenya. Istudied for my KCPE at Venerable Gitura Academy in Murang'a county where I attained 374 marks, a B+. I was admitted to Murang'a High school, one of the most prestigious schools in Central Kenya, where I graduated with a B+ of 73 points. I relocated to Mombasa in August 2009 to pursue my Bachelor's degree course in Business administration at the Technical University of Mombasa, then known as Mombasa Polytechnic University College. I graduated in 2013, with a second class honors, upper division. I briefly worked as an inter auditor at Panell Kerr and Forster Auditors (PKF) before I chose to quit formal employment.

When I was in Campus, my parents could not raise the fees anymore, so I had to work part time to pay my fees and have something to eat. I started off creating blogs and websites, despite having little knowledge of the same. Luckily, my school had WIFI, so I taught myself how to use quickbooks and other web development software through YouTube. After a while, I became a content creator and copywriter, creating articles for blogs and websites to ensure that they are search-engine optimized.

I currently live in Likoni, Mombasa, where in 2014, I identified the niche for video gaming. There was only one under-equipped and overcharged game-zone. I sought a loan form my bank, Family bank, which enabled me to start my business. I bought 4 24 inch television sets, 2 Playstation 3 consoles and 2 Playstation 2 consoles. It was hard at first but with time and sensitization, customers started trickling in. Mombasa is a land of fun, and people are always looking for new ways to get entertained. My game zone provided just that. My business has grown in leaps and bounds. I am not married yet so I have no children. I want to be financially stable when I finally decide to settle down with someone and sire children.

My hobbies include; reading, writing, playing video games, Caricature drawing, swimming, playing and watching soccer and literary criticism.

I am a content creator/article writer/blogger/copywriter/editor. This is my full time job from which I make $50-$85 on a daily basis. I also run Everest game zone Likoni. The game zone is equipped with 3 Playstation 4 consoles, 3 Playstation 3 consoles and 4 Playstation 2 consoles. It also has 4 51 inch television sets, 4 24 inch television sets and 2 32 inch TVs. It also has a laptop on which I write and a Home theatre for music.

I am a gamer myself and there was a niche in the market which was unexploited so I chose to begin this business by delivering entertainment to the people.

I have one employee who I pay a monthly salary of Ksh. 12,500. I pay an annual government fee of Ksh. 11,500. I pay a monthly rent of Ksh. 8,500 and a Music Copyright Society of Kenya permit fee of Ksh. 2550 bi-annually. The betting licencing and controls board permit costs me Ksh. 3000 annually.

On a basic day, I collect Ksh. 3500. That translates to Ksh. 105,000 monthly. After all expensea are paid, I am left with about Ksh. 75,000 per month. I have 6 siblings in high school and various colleges that I help pay school fees for, I ensure that I save some of the cash while I reinvest some. I am looking to open another game zone in Ukunda, South coast Kenya, hence the need for additional funds.

While I have savings in the bank, The money is not enough to open a new game zone. The quality of service delivery that I have attained needs to be replicated in any other game zone that I operated. I started from scratch with my first game zone with only a few gaming consoles, Everest Game zone is known far and wide, and to hit the ground running, I will need a substantial amount of money. I will need to buy 3 playstation 4 consoles, 3 Playstation 3 consoles, 3 playstation 2 consoles and 9 television sets. I will also need to pay licencing fees, betting and licensing board permits as well as the initial rent and deposit for the premise I choose to operate from.
