i am 24 years old. I have two brothers and one sister. i am the second born. We all live with our parents near Meru. i also have a two year old son called Harmony. I finished high school and now i am studying bachelor of education at mt kenya university in thika. I am in my second year of university out of four years. Previously i have taught at a secondary school teaching maths and physics but now i am concentrating on my studies. I look forward to being a qualified teacher. I also like to sing and i sing in my church choir. i use the money that i earn from my farm to help pay my school fees and support my son.

I have a small farm to grow vegetables – spinach, sukuma and courgettes. The area where i live is very good for farming. The soil is very good and there is lots of rain. The farm is near my parents house and we eat some of the vegetables and sell most them at the market in katheri. I would like to expand my vegetable farm and plant more different vegetables. Diseases can be a problem for my farm so i use different sprays to stop this. my costs are low as i do the work myself and i own my tools such as a hoe, spade and panga. i need to buy seeds, fertilizer and sprays.

Am focused to buying a water pan and some irrigating pipes for USD 150 , I will have curbed irrigation challenges and as well increase my products to the market . Am focused to increasing my products to the market with a profit target of up to Usd 50
