my name is beryl and i am the first born in a family of five,the only girl by the way.my childhood had been normal as i was brought up in a middle class family never lacked i thank God. my education is up to collage level and i studied travel and tours to management stage and have a diploma to certify that.
Being the only girl my family tend to over protect me like an egg about to break so all i do is work extra hard and smart to prove them otherwise.From collage i joined Kenya Airways as an attache e for 3months then worked as a casual on the same company until i was given a contract for 4 years.
Bosses change and so do rules,KQ did away with contract staff and i joined the travel agencies,worked with different companies as a travel consultant until i decided to open my own travel company.
With all the experience and a number of clients and a few companies i went back to family to ask for the support financially added with my own collection and got me a laptop and desk top to start with.i still have along way to go as its only 4 months since i started.
i am a travel consultant i plan and book air tickets to all destinations,hotels, car hire,and process visa.Travel industry is good and fun too and i love it.i recently opened my own travel company its 4 months since i started,i share an office to save on rent.For starters i have to buy the tickets directly through the Airline so i must have liquid cash at all times so i don't disappoint my clients when they need urgent tickets and pay later.
I issue at least 5 tickets per day and my commission depends on the destination of the traveler eg domestic or international.per month i get at least ks 30000 on the lower side.i have one child a boy 7 years and i comfortably pay his fees without worries.
i still need some stationaries and printers and get my own office and i need a boost
Buy afew necessary things like office stationary and also envelopes with my contacts and direction of the office printed on the envelopes.
This will increase my marketing and thus bring more clients and more profit
