I live about 300m off Charo Wa Mae road, Sparks Road, between Charo Wa Mae and Prison Roads. I am a widow with two children,a boy and a girl aged 16 and 12. I started selling shoes in past ten years. I have been selling shoes from one open air market to the other. We have daily market days in Kilifi county. Open air markets are: Mkoroshoni, Tezo, Takaungu, Chonyi, Matsangoni and Chasimba. In every market I have created strong customer contact hence more sales. In a month I am capable of raising profit of about 10,000 shillings (ten thousands).
Since Zidisha lenders have helped, the shoe business grew and I was able to open a hoteli, cafe in Charo Wa Mae. It is called Top Ten Cafe and we make chapati, pilau and wonderful foods. It is becoming very well followed because it is the only one in the area, where I still sell shoes.
