My name is Leah Maina. I am a resident of Kisumu though i come from Laikipia East. I spent my childhood in Nanyuki where my parents still live.

I acquired my secondary education in Meru County and i went to Nyeri County for my tertiary education.

I do dressmaking and tailoring as my main source of income. I deal with custom made and recently, i added ready to wear outfits to the business. I got a supplier for fabrics in Nairobi. He sells in wholesale and also sends me the fabrics as a parcel all the way to Kisumu. This way, am able to make more profit.

I started sewing as a hobby but right now it is my main source of income.

This skill based business is profitable and it has enabled me live comfortably as well as helping me pay school fees for my two teenage sons.

My business has really grown because i keep reinvesting back the profits, thanks to this community
