Once upon a time, I was born in a town called Kalulushi in the copperbelt. I'm located in Chibuluma town ship where I live with my children. I'm a single mother of three children and my husband passed on three years ago. Since then life has not been easy for us as a family, I'm the bread winner of my family without a formal job. My childhood life was hard because I never completed my school very well and that led me to get married at a tender age. I lost my parents and I had no one to sponsor me to go back to school and further my education. My desire was to complete school and go to university which was not the case for me. Despite getting married at a tender age, I never resorted to be just a house wife. I remained focused until I started acquiring skills through government for women empowerment in impacting skills to vulnerable women in society. I acquired skills in tailoring and designing and obtained a certificate in tailoring and designing of clothing . Today, I'm an entrepreneur in the production of clothing for men, women and children, I got interested in Zidisha loan because I wish to expand my business and create tailoring jobs for young girls in our community.
I own a small shop in our community where I sew clothing production such as trousers, shirts, uniforms for school children, church uniforms, ladies clothing such as skirts, body tops and suits. I have a lot of demand and I'm unable to meet due to lack of funds to buy enough fabric materials and deliver the goods on time to the customers. As a result of this I'm requesting for funds at least a sum of 10.000 ZMW, to buy fabric materials for sewing school uniforms , suits and church uniforms. Currently my profit margin is 3500.00 ZMW and if I double my working capital , I could increase my profits margin to 5000ZMW and meet demand of all my customers and support my children to pay school fees and improve the living standard of my family today. As a single mother , I really need your support to uplift my business and expand to change the life style of people and that of my family and community.
