Am Abigael Chirchir 28yrs old frm Nairobi Kenya.I studied at regional Institute for my Diploma course in Journalism and media Studies and later I Joined Maseno University for my degree in Business Administration and IT.My graduation is due in December and I look forward to use the skills I got in class and apply it inthe world of business.I Joined Zidisha family in 2025 through a friend who introduced me and have been receiving loans since then which has been of great help to me and I look forward to continue with my projects through the help of Zidisha since I want to be self employed and not dependant on being employed forever since I want to reach my goals of becoming a successful entrepreneur. For now am employed at a security firm as a controller and am looking forward to do more business as a side hustle but later I will venture into business full time.I hope Zidisha will help my dreams come through.

I ventured into detergent business since 2015 after I got various formulas for soap making and other detergents like Handwash,Harpic,Softener,Jik,Dettol and many more through a friend and there after I decided that it will be my venture and immediately when I learnt of Zidisha I started borrowing money to help me purchase the various ingredients and other expenses too.

I started with the little I had till it grew to something profitable and grew to large scale venture whereby I started getting huge orders especially for soap and Handwash and on a good week I would make around Ksh 12000 frm the liquid soap and Ksh 8000 from handwash that's roughly 20k per week. From that I saw it better to try selling the softener,Harpic,Jik and Dettol and it would add around Ksh 4000 on addition. My customers grew fond of my products and that's my story on my income.

Loan Proposal

Ingredients US$ 13

Packaging Containers US$ 0.65 per container.

Making fabric softener will help me to boost my business since its the third product am selling in my business i already have customers who have tried out my product. It will benefit them a lot since its cheaper hence affordable to both the middle class and below middle class. My product targets low income earners who cannot afford to buy the product in large quantity or rather from the supermarket.

Am expecting to make more sales and my profit to rise drastically perhaps by 25%.
