My name is Detan Kolala, am 30 years old born and raised in Zambia.

I'm the third in a family of four,my parents are old and always in and out of hospital due to health problems,

Mom has diabetes and both her legs were imputed.

I have two beautiful girls that I have full responsibility of because their mother is still studying nursing.

and brother are both married and my youngest is still studying.

I dropped out of college due to financial difficulties and since then I have been into farming.

Farming comes a long way in our family and I have have always loved plants.

Through farming I have been able to pay medical bills for my parents,fees for my wife and children plus the up keeps for the home.

My family owns land which I have been using to grow my crops for consumption and sell.

Farming helps to feed me,my family and the community at large.

I plant different crops depending on the seasons and those which are on demand.

The prices are depend on the market during that period of sell.

I use the profits to invest into the business and also to support my family.

With the funds I will be able to buy tools need to use when planting and most importantly fertilizer for the crops.

I need to buy pipes that will help me water the veggies easy and the fertilizer will help them grow well.
