I am Martin Hesborn Otieno born and raised in Kakamega county in western kenya. Both my parents passed through H.I.V AIDs when i was young and i was left with my grandmother.Because my grandparent was very poor i was not able to get enough education,so after form four i started to look for casual jobs to support both my grandmother and myself. After long period of casual jobs i decided to start farming business because i realized it's profitable and much paying as compared to other casual jobs.
I have i one acre farm which i have inherited as my late mother portion where i practice small but smart farming.I have two cross breed dairy cows which give me milk to sell,i rear local and grade chicken for meat and eggs selling and i plant irice potatoes, tomatoes and vegetable for sale. These products are all in high demand because they are essential commodity and the population is high too.I choose this kind of business because i wanted to support myself and those who raised me up.
I first take this opportunity to thank all lenders who supported me this far,the loan helped to get a water pump which helped so much during dry season. Now i come before you to support me this planting season and this is how i plan to spend the loan.
$50 i am going to pay for labor work, this will help me to work faster and compete with time and hence more production.
$90 i will use to buy DAP fertilizer at a wholesale meaning the loan will enable me to access cheaper farming input and with high production more yield is expected and $70 i will use to buy high breed maize seeds. Also the loan will help me get high quality seeds which will boost my yield too.Kindly lend to me
