Banda Erick is my name. I live in Kafue and located in Shikoswe Compound where I grew up. I come from a poor family. Starting school was a struggle because my parents were not in formal employment, hence as a family we were struggling. Hence our up bringing was not something that one can admire. Hence when I reached grade 9, I ended up dropping out of school due to none payment of school fees which my parents could not afford.Things began to change in my life when I started going to Kafue river to catch fish with my friends to raise some funds. God willing a community leader helped me to buy one fishing net to use and that is how I got on my fit and ventured into fish business. Coming to know Zidisha online microlending was through a friend who connected me who is a fully member of the Zidisha community family.

Iam a fish man and I catch fish for sale to the general public.Fish is highly in demand and it is consumed every day and it's demand is very high. I ventured into this business because I do realize good income and it's the same business that helped to over come hardship and start supporting my parents and siblings. I started with 1 finishing net and today I have 5 fishing nets, For one fishing nets it costs ZMW 3500. And I need 10 fishing net which would cost me ZMW 50,000. The more I have the fish nets the more I would catch more fish for sale.The profits made, I have to pay for tuition fees and go back to school and finish my education, support my poor parents and my siblings.

I need the funds to buy and secure good fishing nets for catching fish. Killing fish especially bigger one or bream fish . It requires me to have strong fish nets for catching fish. When I buy the fish nets I will ensure the I Kill the right size of fish for my customers to buy and these are small, medium and large ones. Therefore I will make and generate good profits .
