Soko Ruth is my name and I'm a mother of two children. My education background is very poor . I went to school but could not finish my school due to financial challenges. Growing up without my biological parents effected my education background. Hence grew up my uncle who did not look after me very well hence I had to drop out of school. My uncle could afford to pay for my school fees and I could go to school without food and my school fees were not paid on time and I used to be chased most of the time. I ended up becoming entrepreneur at a tender age through support from community based organization supporting vulnerable people. I was supported with a motor bike and I started courier business , delivering parcels within the town of Kabwe. I have two children and I wish my children to acquire profession skills at university level and become meaningful people in society.
I'm involved in transportation business, I provide courier business by delivering parcels to different places within our community and with the town of Kabwe. The business is doing very and demand is increasing daily. Delivering of parcels is very profitable and busy job and payment is cash and per I make ZMW 250 and per week I make a total amount of ZMW 3000.00 and per month I generate a total of ZMW 12000.00 The profits made I use to pay and support my children home and service the motor bike. At the moment , the business is because the motor bike needs to repaired and the courier box got damaged because I was recently involved in a road traffic accident , hence funds are needed to repair the motor bike.
I was involved in the road traffic accident while delivering parcels to the client and as such the motor bike fail and courier box carrying the parcels fail down and got broken. However the funds needed will be used to work on the fixing of the courier box . It will create a great opportunity for carrying more parcels and generate more revenue. And the funds made will be used to improve the standard of living and allow the people of my community to have access to courier services
