My name is Faith Amayi and I’m from Nigeria. I grew up in a supportive family that always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I studied Business Administration from Nasarawa State University Keffi, and recently completed by National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) program.
My time at the university and during NYSC helped me build confidence and discipline and the mindset to become an entrepreneur.
I’ve always had a passion for beauty and self care, which is what inspired me to start selling perfumes. I love how a good scent can boost someone’s mood and confidence. I started small, selling to my course mates and friends and family and with time, my customers began to grow.
Now I want to take a big step forward by opening a store where I can properly display my perfumes and make it easier for customers to find what they love.
Where I live, people enjoy expressing themselves through fashion and fragrance, so I believe there’s a strong market for my products. I’m my free time, I enjoy playing badminton, it helps me stay active and refreshed. My dream is to grow my perfume business, create a unique shopping experience and inspire other younger women to follow their entrepreneurial goals.
I run a perfume business where I sell a variety of high-quality and long lasting perfumes at affordable prices. My customers include both men and women who are looking for scents to make them feel confident and stylish. Fragrances are always in demand because people love to smell good for work, events, or just everyday life.
Right now, I sell perfumes mainly online and by word of mouth, but my goal is to open a physical store where I can display my products and attract more walk-In customers. My typical costs include buying of perfumes, transportation and packaging. I reinvest most of my profits into restocking and improving my product selection.
With the support from Zidisha, I plan to raise funds to rent a store, buy display shelves, and increase my inventory to reach more customers.
My dream is to build a well-known brand and eventually create opportunities for others to earn a living through job creation.
With the funds I raise through this campaign, I plan to open a small physical store for my perfume business. The money will be used to secure a rental space, purchase display shelves and branding materials and increase inventory of fragrances.
Having a physical location will help be attract more walk in customers and build brand visibility.
