My name is ruth Kunda a single young mother of 2 children living in chongwe kanankatapa on my Grandmothers farm with my other siblings ,i did not finish my education because of financial burden i learnt how to grow tomatoes from my Grandmother and take some to katende market at the main road to sale ,my children go to school at chainda basic school ,though the education system there is very poor my goal is to work hard so i can take them to better school.

About my business ,i grow tomatoes despite the season the tomatoes during good seasons despite the birds eating them can be atleast 3 to 6 boxes within a few months after that i wait for the pick up track of one of the farmers who also takes to the main road to sale his goods , i use the profits to help my family an also my children.

Thank you very mych to the members of zidisha who funded my project,with the next funds to be peovided i would like to buy more storage boxes for the romatoes and buy another or connect another water system for watering the plants to promote growth.
