My name is Fridah Lupula a God fearing Zambian woman and a single mother of 4. I lost my husband 6 years ago since then it's been me and my kids trying to get them to university. It hasn't been easy since my husband passed on as my husband's family literally grabbed everything thing from me , I loooked at the kids I was left to fend for so I started a small restaurant just outside the house as it is near the tarmac. Bus drivers would mostly support my business and started to make some profit to push my kids at school. I later moved into a small shop that was on rent and since then the restaurant business has been standing. I have always loved to cook and bake in my free time for my family and now for my clients. It is therefore that I read about Zidisha and how helpful it has been to helping business owners grow wether big or small that I applied for membership so as, I too can grow my business.
I want to use the funds to grow my restaurant business, as at now I only do our Zambian traditional meal nshima (pap) but I want to introduce fast food like chips/sausage and samosas. I would love to purchase a deep fryer.
I want to use this loan to order live chickens for the restaurant, the order price is k120 for 3 chickens and above while each goes for k160. If I buy 7 in advance I there will be a huge discount and a good profit margin for the restaurant as I make the daily sells. I want to give my appreciation so far with the projects that Zidisha team has been funding, my business is really expanding quickly
