Born and raised in the arid areas I survived under extreme conditions. I was raised in garissa town where my father worked as a primary school teacher.I went to school till class 8 where I dropped due to insufficient funds for my school fees as my father had been transferred to mandera but declined the offer due to insecurity prompting him to be sacked.I started business while I was in class 7.I started small farming on our little piece of land I grew tomatoes and after 2-3 months I would sale them I want my children to access standard education.I love sharing the word if God at my free time.
I do small scale farming. Growing crops that take a shorter time to mature.I do grow tomatoes mainly on the small piece of land we have.l, I have to walk miles away from home to fetch water for watering the crops so that they can sustain the harsh weather we experience here I chose this kind of business because its rarely practiced .the costs I spend include chemicals I use to prevent attack of pests and diseases which are prone here.the profit I get I use it to educate my siblings.
I would use the money to buy chemicals to prevent the attack of pests and diseases.more so we are planning to dig a borehole in our village we have agreed as a community to raise 1000dollars to facilitate the project.each of us is expected to raise 10 dollars each .the money will really boost my business by increasing the production rate.I expect a 70% increase rate.
