Born and raised in Nakuru County. I've come to appreciate a lot patience and consistency especially in business. The lessons learnt from my mother from her charcoal selling business while I was still in primary school still hold me together. Each day I witnessed a woman who was dedicated in her course working hard and disciplined to make a difference in the society. In one way or the other, though learned, i had a dream of starting my own business. Each time I was around my mum would let me interact directly with the customer's and help her out in running the business. This inturn helped me gain confidence when communicating with other people and improved my selling skills. Till date my mum still runs her businesses though now she has expanded to other fields. I owe to her the knowledge i posses and grateful that I passed through her hands.
The business i deal in is under the construction industry. I sell a wide variety of building materials and home supplies. The products range from plumbing supplies, electrical supplies, paints and metal products. At the begging i was more aquinted in selling electrical supplies as i majored an electrical course in my higher education but with time i became more fluent in other areas. The business has been running for the past two years and is growing bit by bit. Timely delivery of the products and giving my clients a wide variety of products is my number one priority. The customer is given the best advice on how to approach a problem before purchasing the product.
The funds raised will be used to bring in new products and most sort out products in my business so as to satisfy the needs of the clients. Most of the times I find it hard to supply the items demanded by customers due to limited capital. The funds will make it possible to stock extra items especially goods in demand. This in turn will boost the sales of the business making it a profitable venture. In the end, i will be able to satisfy the needs of my family. Also, the community will benefit from the business as I have employed people to assist me with running the business.
