I am Kenyan lady named ceciliah. I am in my early thirties and I am a business woman. I love travelling and I am also a part time farmer. This is because whenever go back to visit at my rural home. I spend time gardening as well. I grew up in the farm mostly and I love tending to livestock and also nature in general. I do volunteer work in my free time because I want to make a difference in the society. I want my children to come into a world where I will be leading by example and trying to make a difference with whatever little I can do.
I am self employed and it comes with both its advantages and disadvantages. Whenever I go to my rural home once a month. I come back with several litres of milk and sell them to different institutions like the local kindergartens and high schools and deliver to several houses, depending on the quantity I bring. I also sell a few house hold products during the evening at the local bus stations and outside schools and markets as well. I make about 2000-7000ksh per week if I have my milk sales at the time as well. I also belong to a chama.
I belong to a bead group that has a shortage of 8000ksh to help us meet an order for a group in karen area. The members came to a conclusion that we should share the amount of the total needed to see through project. The loan recieved, the money will all go to buy beads and other necessary materials needed for the project. That is why we sought help to bring together the total amount we will all get, so that our self help group remains reputable to our buyers.
