My name is Andrew Phiri , a young Zambia farmer and entrepreneur. I live in Mubwa district located in Sibunji Compound. I was raised by my parents . I went to Mumbwa secondary school. Having completed my successfully I decided to go for teaching career in Kabwe at Kwame Krume University. Iam a teacher by profession , currently working at Namomba boarding School in Mumbwa rural. Having worked for 5 years , I realized that I wasnt making enough to sustain my family and helping my siblings. I am married with three children who are in school. After I learnt that farming is profitable , I decided to take up farming to compliment my other financial challenges in my life. I live in an area where farming is the first priority by the people in the community. Currently doing very well farming, having seen good results in it so far, I aim at working hard to have all the tools of farming and grow more crops in near future. The land is quite for farming and indeed fertile. I have three children , I wish them to have good education and encourage them to forget the land or venture into farming regardless how they will become when they complete school. During my fee time , I take time to teach my children and go through through their school work.
I sale farming crops , I grow maize , potatoes, sweet potatoes, beans and a few vegetables. Maize is our stable food and mostly is high consumable daily because its end product maize meal or mealie meal , is highly consumed . It is profitable and I make money very fast. Since I started farming , it has been very sustainable and I want to expand the business to grow more crops and therefore make more profits. Currently I need farming tools which I do have, most of them which I have are damaged and spoiled . I really need to buy the following because I'm having challenges such as rake, hoe, spade , wheebar, shovel and a plough for cultivating the farming land properly and I need a sum of ZMW 8,500.00 to buy these farming to be helping in farming of crops at the farm.
With the funds , I need the following gardening tools to be helping me at my farm land , I need a fork, rake, spade , wheelbarrow, shovel and a plough. This will help me to cultivate my farm land to grow more crops for sale and generate more profits to expand my business.
