My name is Daniel Mwangi. A Kenyan male 47 years, and a micro enterprise businessman. I am an Auto electrician by profession.
I started a small grocery stall through savings from my full-time job. The aim was to earn some extra money and create an employment opportunity because i don't work at the stall but i have employed someone.
Kenya is a country of hard-working people who make use of every opportunity to better their lives.
I love reading and watching documentaries.
My grocery stall deals in fruits and vegetables which are in high demand daily in the urban setting that i operate from.
I refresh my stock daily because i deal in relatively perishable goods that need fresh stock every other day. A day's stock is roughly Kes 3,000and brings in a profit of around Kes 1,500.
The profit is used for daily domestic expenses and the savings go towards educating my children.
I intend to expand my grocery shop by adding new and fresh stock. I also plan to add new variety so that my customers can enjoy a one-stop purchasing experience at the shop. This will mean more customers, more sales and more revenue. The proceeds will help me expand and sustain the shop and also help me support my family and the Zidisha community.
