I was born in January 1986 28 yrs ago in a family of five, three children and our parents. Iam the last born. I joind primary school in 1992-1999 and later high school in 2000-2003. Around this time my parents got retrenched from their respective jobs hence their inability to further my education and so i opted to learn a trade in hairdressing and beauty therapy in 2004. I was very determind and within three months i was earning commisions on the skills that i had perfected while working on the rest. Gradualy i earned clients from my neighbourhood and beyond because they liked my work. I have managed to buy the necessary equipment from my earnings also taking care of myself and supporting my parents.
It has been an interesting journey of about ten years now and over the years i have worked on sharpening my skills to meet the ever growing demands in the beauty industry this has earned me many clients even from neighbouring towns making me to earn well nd consistently i earn between 180-200 dollars evry month during low season and 250-300 dollars in high season. Thou i face the challenge of having to commute when meeting my clients mostly in their homes or business premise and in the process spending alot on transport because i dont have a permanent business premise where my clients can easily locate me. This is wat am hoping to achieve through this loan... having a permanent business room will also create more profits for me because i will be able to attend to many clients in a day as i engage the services of my fellow beauticians who will be working for on commision basis.
With my savings i have managed to buy the essential equipment so far therfore i will use the 150$ as follows... 37.5$ for paying rent and another 37.5$ for rent deposit which is refundable when a tenant wishes to change house. With 25$ i will pay for the water we shall be using which is a one off payment for the entire tenantship which is unlimited and the remaining 50$ will cater for putting up shelves,mirrors,working surfaces & the shampooing sink. This will make my work more efficient since everythng will be within reach also i will be able to offer multiple services to my clients on a single visit. I will also manage to save the money i use on transport wen meeting my clients and increase my profits through the team of fellow beauticians who will be earning on commision basis.
