My names are Joseph Moturi.I am a husband to Mrs.Brendah and a father of three children.My children are in tender age of between 12,9 & 6.They attend a primary school here in Nyahururu a school by the name Manguo primary school.
My wife is also a farmer in our farm and she helps me in our daily farm activities.
My hobbies includes,swimming,making new friends,visiting sick people,reading bible,e.t.c.
My main business is farming.I am a sole proprietor and I own a shamba in Nyahururu,Laikipia County-Kenya. My main activities in my farm includes tilting the land,planting,spaying the herbicides,top-dressing and thereafter harvesting.
I am a farmer with a vision that one day I will be supplying to the whole town their daily foods(potatoes) from my farm.Most of my customers the hotels and colleges.
At the moment,I have a one acre land full of potatoes,which will be ready for harvest by early April.Now I am pleading that since the production will be higher than expected,I be prepared fully.The potato farming is somehow not stressing so long as you maintain them during flowering by adding more top-dressing,herbicides and folier fertilizer.This had revived my aim of cultivating more land for the purpose of agribusiness.
With the injection of zidisha loan,the dream will be realized since I have a person who will lease to me his two acre piece of land at a price of Kes.10,000 per year.I will also manage to buy the potato seeds of about 1 sack which will cost about 7.000 and raw manure and herbicides.Please help me in realizing my dream.Thanks alot.
