Hi Zidisha Community,
My name is Joseph Kajah and I’m a Medical Doctor in training, currently In my final year. I hail from Ogbadibo local government in Nigeria.
I’ve been in medical school for over a decade as a compulsory part of the degree program to obtain a pre-degree in a science related course before commencing the medical program In earnest, and I must say that it’s been a fulfilling journey so far.
Outside of my academics, I love to play basketball and I’m a huge fan of the Chicago bulls. I am passionate, self motivated and humble enough to learn new things from those around me.
I am deeply passionate about holding medical outreaches in underserved communities and this has been a major calling for me; to help the less privileged access decent medical care regardless of their location and socio economic status.
About a week ago, I visited a community and I was deeply saddened by the lack of access to basic health care support of majorly the kids and the old, causing the death and immobilization of many.
As one who is always happy to help those in need, I supported with part of pocket money In acquiring malaria and typhoid test kits as well as basic medications like paracetamol and anti malaria drugs, but that can only serve not so many people, so I’m calling on the good people of the Zidisha community to join me in making a difference in the lives of those who are loosing hope due to the absence of basic healthcare.
I intend to use the funds to purchase more medications like HIV test kits, antibiotics, pain killers, anti inflammatory drugs and first aid materials. In this community, it is budgeted that these medications will cost at about 150,000 Nigerian Naira which is approximately $100.
My goal is to visit as many communities as I can before my graduation in 5 months time. With your support, I believe we will make a difference and touch lives especially those in underserved communities.
With the funds, I will purchase medications like Antimalaria drugs, HIV test kits, Pain killers etc and this will be a life saver to the community as they lack access to quality healthcare.
Join me im making a difference and providing hope to the forgotten.
Thank you so much
