my name is Maurine Achieng Nyamwala.

i was born in February 1982 in Homaby county, a small town in western Kenya.I grew up there and did my primary & secondary education from there.

life in the country was simple and innocent. my mother was a farmer while my dad was a carpenter.

we didn't have much to ensurer i got through college and being a traditionalist, my father decided that i should get married.

i later got married to Tom Nyamwala who we lived raised two kids with till his untimely death in 2013.

i now raise Beckline (10 years) and James(4 years) by myself. i stated a small shop i Nairobi 4 years back and it has been able to cater for my physiological needs.

i love reading and travelling and during my free time i take my kids out and tell them stories.

my business is based in Nairobi gikomba market.I operate mainly with shoe and clothing sales.

i basically buy secondhand shoes and cloths and resell them to get profit.

i hawk the cloths around Nairobi city and also i have put up a shop for displaying the shoes near where i live.

the business has been going well in the past years.

i was introduced to zidisha by a friend who is now doing better due to the help he has gotten. and i felt that i should join zidisha and share about my business and grow together withe rest of the world.

my application for a loan is to increase stock mainly my collection of shoes.

i intend to to take advantage of the rainy season where people buy more shoes.

the stock i require is $200 to purchase a mutumba bale.

with this i will be able to get gumboots that i will sell for profit.
