My name is James Wuchinna and I’m from Nigeria, born and raised in Kogi. I am a final year student student International relations.

To support myself through school, I learnt how to sew traditional attires for men and that has made all the difference. With the profits realized from the dresses I make, I’ve been able to see myself through school and take care of my daily needs.

I am a hardworking and curious individual always happy to learn new things.

When I’m not sewing dresses for men, I love to play soccer.

I sew and sell traditional attires for men in my community. The dress I’m wearing on my display is an example of what I make. These attires can be worn for work, church, important functions and even weddings.

I’m privileged to have grown my customer base over the years and to have made dresses for a few prominent persons in my community.

Right now, I operate from a small shop and I desire to expand to a bigger work space by renting a bigger shop. This will enable me display the dresses I make, attract walk-in customers, hire one or two persons to work alongside me and help me stay efficient and meet work deadlines effectively.

The work space will cost be around $100 and the best part, is that it already comes with pre installed shelves to make my work easier.

My goal is to grow the business to have a facility with young people hired as staff that makes dresses for all and sundry, and also to have a dress showroom attached to help customers who want to purchase ready-made dresses on the go.

With your support, I know this will become a reality someday.

I plan to use to funds to secure a bigger shop as I currently operate in a small space and that poses a limitation to my business. With the bigger shop, I’ll be able to display my works and attract walk-in customers to get their dress needs on the go.
