My name is Derick Lesa and I live in Kalundu Farms in Mumbwa. I completed my children grade 12 at Parkland Secondary school. Through my childhood I have been an achiever and hard working person. After school I was given a small loan to start up a business and raise money to further my education. I started selling in shop which I owned in our community and did prove my self by growing the business and paid back the the small loan and out of it I made huge profits and bought a bigger land where am now involved in farming business. During my part time I love working at the farms and developing the business. Apart from that I love watching football over the weekend.

I need this loan to buy the poly pipes and the herbicides and pesticides in my maize fields.

I have a grocery shop and I also sell farming good which I grow for sale. I sell maize and vegetables, apart from the grocery shop business. Farming is really good because the nation or the people in our community are secured of food for consumption, I choose farming because the Government is buying from us farmers at a good profit to ensure food security in the nation. My aim is to grow the business and generate more money for home improvement and supporting the vulnerable children in our family especially school children.

Following a heavy down poll of rains during the 2024/2025 farming season there has been a great out break of dangerous insects that have been attacking the maize crop in my farm. As such I need the backers to help me buy the herbicides and pesticides to help me control these pest such as the army worms which are very dangerous attacking the crops not grow very well in the farm. Once I buy these pest control measures in my farm, I will grow more and produce a good production of maize for making mealie meal for my family, sell it and make good income and also supply to the community especially to hammer mills owners for the production of mealie meal.
