I am Mario Ikapel Oile from Teso district busia Kenya. I come from a small community engaged in agriculture bordering the border with Uganda. I am had a tough child hood helping my parents farming tobacco as well as treating it for sell to cigarrete making companies. I would also work in neighboring farms to raise school levies as well as uniform fro myself as my parents would rarely replace a torn one. After high school I migrated to Nakuru town putting up briefly with my cousin who introduced me to a security company where I still work mainly as a reliever now. I saved some money and bought myself a motorbike which I use as a taxi also called bodaboda. My children want to better people well educated and able to secure meaningful employment or self employment. I love football alot.

I offer motorbike taxi services during the day and move into the security night shift at night. I want to use the money to boost my wife's grocery shed. Grocery is a daily table requirement in every household, I chose this so as to support my and in return she can compliment our household income. Education is increasingly becoming expensive and health. The income flow will help us support our children better. For my bodaboda business, typical costs are daily fuel and weekly motorbike service checks. normally i make between 500 to 1000 kenya shillings per day after costs. the grocery is fairly new and makes a net profit of 300 to 500 a day because we also sell some firewood and charcoal.

The funds from this will be utilized to boost my wife's grocery business, This will reduce pressure on me being the sole provider for my family, it will empower my wife economically, It will help as to support our children's education and wellbeing. Back in the community, we are bringing grocery supplies closer in the estate, saving women and men time spend walking out to source for their supplies.
