I worked as a teacher for several years but had to stop due to covid 19 when I was laid off.
During covid 19 Life became hard with limited opportunities for employment I had to find a way to sustain my family and that's why I chose self employment.
With savings from my previous job I started a small hotel.
I have three children whom are school going.
The pandemic taught me resilience. Now, I'm saving to enhance my business, aiming to become a successful business man and create jobs that's why am applying for a business growth loan due to demand.
I run a small retail food production business called "Choma Zone" in English it means roasted meat, Our primary focus is preparing and packing food when customers place orders, whether through phone calls or by visiting us in person.
We take pride in offering affordable food options that cater to the average citizen's budget, all while maintaining a commitment to using the finest quality ingredients available in the market.
Our goal is to consistently meet and exceed our customers' culinary expectations.
At Choma Zone, we have a diverse menu that includes a wide range of delectable dishes. From classic favorites like fries, chapati, stew, pilau, roasted meat and ugali to various other specialties, our menu is designed to satisfy a variety of tastes. We also welcome special orders, allowing customers to request specific dishes tailored to their preferences.
Currently, our team consists of just three individuals. I, as the owner, oversee the operations of the business, while I have dedicated assistants who plays a crucial role in food preparation.
Due to demand I will use the business growth loan to expand the business with aim to increase seating area and employing more people.
With a bigger seating area I will earn more profit and even increase my employees salary.
My main expenses include food expenses,operation cost and employees salary.
Despite our small size, we are committed to delivering exceptional food and service to our valued customers.
