I grew up in a rural village called Kanzokea, Kangundo sub-county, Machakos County. I used to walk bare foot on my way to school and was able to attain 369 marks out of 500 marks. I went to Kathiani High School for my secondary and was able to attain B (plain) for form four in 2009. My father left us when I was in form one but my mother struggled to pay the school fees. I made an application for a parallel degree in the University of Nairobi in Economics and Statistics but I discontinued after the second year after the sponsor who used to pay the tuition fees lost his job and could no longer pay my tuition fees. I started working casual in Industrial area until 2014 when I met a friend of mine who introduced me to being an online tutor.

I started my online business in 2014 after being introduced by a friend. The business on online tutoring involves signing up for freelance websites such as Upwork where students post the tasks that they need help on. After the students post the task, many tutors place a bid after which the student picks the tutor they are interested in and the tutor completes the work and payment is made after the work has been accepted by the student. I have been able to employ three similar tutors who we assist each other in the work and I believe that we will continue being successful in our online business.

My internet has been disconnected and given this amount, I will be able to top up the current amount that I have and restore the connection. As an online freelancer, my business is usually dependent on the internet, which means that my services to the clients have been somewhat disrupted. The use of the internet in online freelancing is inevitable, which means that any disconnection of the internet means that I cannot bid or communicate with my clients.

I will really appreciate if my loan application is considered.

Thanks in advance
