In this modern society especially in Kenya, its hard if not difficult to get a job.Considering this I pulled my innovation together and came up with an idea, I make my own egg incubator, hatch chicks and rear some and sell others.I could also be taking orders to hatch chicks .Making my own incubator is far more cheaper than buying a commercial one.I searched through books and the internet and got the construction design and specification.
I went ahead and acquired required materials, made the incubator and installed some of the required like heaters and air fan, all my savings used up.
I got stuck since I required a computer microcontroller to control temperature and humidity and this is where I need help to get one.
cost analysis (Per egg)
Egg-Kshs 20.
Incubation-Kshs 10.
others -Kshs 5.
Total - Kshs 35.
selling price - Kshs 80
Profit-Kshs 45.
With a capacity of 150 egg.
45*150= Kshs 6750.
With 3 incubation sets,
6750 * 3= 20 250.
3 sets is a period of 70 days.This period will enable repayment of loan and successful continuation of business.
