I have been engaged by various clients not only in the academic arena but also on commercial matters as they seek to develop effective and all-inclusive business proposals. I have also been working with private researchers, speakers and trainers in the process of research, writing training materials, and in monitoring and evaluation of their programs. All these business ventures remain economically viable despite various challenges.
Nonetheless, mobility is an important concept in this commercial venture to remain competitive and enhance productivity. More often than not, clients need presentations, research from distant regions, as well as assistance on training programs. Additionally, technology has greatly advanced creating opportunities for progress and effective working environment.
I have been using an internet cable to access internet, in online research and compiling training materials. However, it has been challenging to carry the computer while working from outside station due to lack of internet in some regions. It is on this regard I seek invest in a Modem to enable internet access, research, and doing presentations while in outside stations.
From market research i have realized a Airtel 3 G moden costs KES 2000. I have chosen Airtel because its internet service is more reliable compared to other local service providers. So far i have been able to raise KES 1000 from my savings. With the KES 1050 Zidisha loan, i will be able, combined with my KES 1000 savings to purchase the Airtel 3 G modem to enable me to access internet while working from an outside station.
